Terms of Use

Vaulta is provided by Lucencrest ("we", "us"). By installing or using Vaulta you agree to these terms. If you use Vaulta on behalf of a business, you agree on its behalf as well.

1. What Vaulta is, and is not

Vaulta is record-keeping software. It stores and displays a ledger of money that an operator holds on behalf of others, or of the operator's own income and expenses. Vaulta does not hold, transfer, exchange or safeguard any money, and it is not a bank, wallet, payment service or money-transfer business. The operator of a workspace is solely responsible for the funds they hold, for the accuracy of what they record, and for complying with any licensing or regulatory requirements that apply to their activity.

2. Your account

• You must give accurate details and keep your PIN and password private.
• You are responsible for everything done under your login, including by staff you invite.
• If you record information about other people, you must have their agreement to do so.
• You must be at least 18 years old.

3. Acceptable use

You must not use Vaulta for anything unlawful, including money laundering, fraud, or hiding funds from the people they belong to; to interfere with the service or other users' data; or to reverse-engineer or resell the app.

4. Your data

You own the ledger data you record. You grant us the right to store and process it in order to provide the service. We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. You can export statements at any time and delete your account as described on the Delete your account page.

5. Availability and changes

We work to keep Vaulta available and to sync your data reliably, and the app is designed to keep working offline, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features, and we will give reasonable notice of changes that materially affect you.

6. Fees

Vaulta is currently free to download and use. If paid plans are introduced they will be announced in advance, and nothing you have already recorded will be locked away.

7. No warranty and limitation of liability

Vaulta is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law we exclude all warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for losses arising from inaccurate entries, disputes between an operator and a fund owner, or the operator's handling of funds. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim.

8. Ending use

You can stop using Vaulta at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms. Closing a workspace does not erase the obligations between an operator and the people whose money they hold.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date above shows the current version; continued use after a change means you accept it.
